Chrysanthemum, also known as Tanacetum, is a plant from the Asteraceae family and used as an active substance in many cosmetic, nutraceutical products, insecticide (natural crop protection) and flowers and leaves are eaten in the Asian kitchen.
In Chinese medicine, various detoxifying species, such as Chrysanthemum morifolium, have been used medicinally for centuries. For example against headaches, dizziness, red eyes, cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol.
Active ingredients (among others): Essential Oil, Sesquiterpene Lactones, Flavonoids, Choline (Methylated Ethanolamine).
